South Plains Leatherfest is thrilled to welcome the Crossroads Annex of the Carter Johnson Library and Collection to SPLF!
The Carter/Johnson Library & Collection is a collective history of various communities who have chosen to live and love differently. As the only library of its kind, it is our mission to create an interactive relationship with the stories from the past and the present and link them to future generations. The Library collection includes thousands of leather, fetish, S/m, kink and alternate sexuality books, magazines, posters, art, newspapers, ephemera and memorabilia dating back to the 1700’s. The Carter/Johnson Library is designed to put people in touch with their history by allowing them to hold it, read it, smell it and know it.

Grandmother's Stories
Our Leather elders hold the history of our communities, and few voices are as rich with experience as Mama Vi’s. This intimate gathering is a chance to sit with her, listen, and immerse yourself in the gift of her storytelling. Settle in, be present, and connect with the history that has shaped us.

Come join us as we celebrate SPLF with a dance party featuring DJ “Daddy” Zulu! Join us as he takes us on a journey of dance classics heard at Leather Bars throughout the past few decades. Shake your tail feathers and start this celebration off right! Dress fabulously or casually just be ready to let go of your inhibitions. There is no "dance floor" dress code. Come have all the fun you can stand and have a blast at the opening dance party!!
Join us for Friday’s lunch to thank and honor our outgoing International Master/slave and International Person of Leather titleholders. Following a delicious meal, we’ll enjoy their step-down videos and hear their final title year reflections. Let’s show our gratitude for their year of dedication and representation in our community.
Share a meal with your SPLF friends and family on Saturday afternoon while watching Tomo interview our keynote speaker. We promise to dish the dirt as our keynote takes the Hot Seat! This event is also a fundraiser for the IM/s IPOL Travel Fund. Begin your wind-down on Sunday morning by joining us for a lovely brunch followed by a Keynote Speech given by Master Dante. Come for the inspiration, come to enjoy a meal with your people or come for the coffee – but don’t miss this opportunity to be together before we start thinking about heading home with memories of our amazing weekend.
At the heart of the weekend are the International Master/slave and International Person of Leather Contests, our celebration of leadership, service, and the evolution of our title system traditions. During the day on Friday and Saturday, all attendees are invited to attend daytime contestant interviews and presentations, Friday evening’s contest opening night and Saturday evening’s contest finale where we will find out who will be the next International Master and slave and International Person of Leather!
Why do we go to Leather events? To be with our people! Connection is at the heart of it all, catching up with friends, relaxing in good company, and sharing the kind of in-person moments that remind us why this community is home. Pull up a chair, take a breath, and make yourself comfortable in the South Plains Living Room. Open all weekend long.
